Cort began life as a Korean piano sales and manufacturing business, before making the pivotal decision to expand into guitar manufacture in 1973. Originally Cort produced guitars in Asia for notable guitar brands such as Hohner and Kramer, honing their craft throughout the 70’s and gaining an industry-wide reputation for high quality guitar building at an affordable price. This eventually led to the launch of the first Cort-branded range of guitars in 1982.
Over last 40 years Cort have pushed their own brands to the forefront of the business and consistently grown to become the largest guitar manufacturer in Asia, with factories in both Indonesia and China.
