Cort
Cort began life as a Korean piano sales and manufacturing business, before making the pivotal decision to expand into guitar manufacture in 1973. Originally Cort produced guitars in Asia for notable guitar brands such as Hohner and Kramer, honing their craft throughout the 70’s and gaining an industry-wide reputation for high quality guitar building at an affordable price. This eventually led to the launch of the first Cort-branded range of guitars in 1982.
Cort Little CJ Collection
Cort offer a wide range of electric, acoustic, classical and bass guitars, as well as amplifiers and ukuleles. Whether it’s the beginner friendly "Easy Play" series, the modern tones of the G290 FAT, or multiscale 7 & 8 string monsters like the KX508-MS, their products span the musical genre spectrum, with a Cort to suit every guitarist out there.
Innovation has always been at the forefront of the Cort agenda, collaborating with Ned Steinberg in 1984 to produce a series of iconic headless guitars and basses, and revolutionising the guitar finishing process by using the electrostatic painting method from the early 90s. In 2014 they began applying a sonically enhancing UV finish to their acoustics. Cort are the worlds biggest "OEM" guitar manufacter & with this huge scale comes enormous benefits - Cort offer the best value instruments in the world.
The brand has been continually endorsed by successful artists from all corners of the globe: Matt Bellamy’s Muse helped to create his signature Cort MBC1 model, and other recent collaborations include legendary fusion player Frank Gambale and American jazz bassist Jeff Berlin, each with a signature Cort to their name.
